Hospital Director and Co-owner of Northern Lights, Julie has been a part of team NLVLC since 2001. After 11 years in the Air Force she chose a career change and fell in love with veterinary medicine and Northern Lights. It is her primary goal to continue to make every client and their pet feel like the "only" client and to make the overall experience a long lasting and personal one. Her areas of interest include patient care, intrastate and international travel, senior pet wellness and client education. Along with Dr. Schmidt she is passionate about giving back to the community. "I am very grateful for all of the success and happiness in my life and feel very fortunate to be able to work alongside such a skilled and caring veterinarian as Dr. Paula Schmidt." Community involvement, education and animal awareness is high on Julie's "to do" list. You can find Julie in various areas of the hospital as she will continue to have a visible presence in appointments, treatments and customer service. Julie resides in Wasilla with Daniel Johnson and their attack cat, "Ms. Speckles".
